How we use AI

What the AI does

After you send your story, a member of our team may ask an AI model, Claude by Anthropic, to read it and suggest:

• whether it looks like a legal matter;
• the area of law, for example employment or housing;
• the US state it belongs in; and
• whether you mentioned a deadline or court date.

The AI only picks from fixed lists and writes a short note for our team.

What the AI does not do

• It does not talk to you, and you never chat with an AI on Solais.
• It does not give legal advice or judge whether you would win.
• It does not decide anything. A person on our team always reads your story and chooses what happens next.
• It does not see your story while it is a draft: only after you send it.

What happens to your information

• Your answers are sent to Anthropic over an encrypted connection, without your email address.
• Anthropic processes them for Solais under its commercial terms, and does not use them to train its models.
• The AI's suggestions are stored with your matter and only our review team can see them.

If you would rather our team did not use AI on your story, email admin@solaisglobal.com before or after you send it, and we will review it by hand only. More detail is in our Privacy Policy.
